Held in Conwy High Street and Lancaster Square every September, the Honey Fair is organised by the Conwy Beekeepers Organisation. Arts and crafts, plants and local produce are all available for visitors to purchase and of course the local beekeepers are invited to sell their fresh honey too - with over a tonne of honey often sold by lunchtime!
Wild Food Foraging Weekends held at The Foxhunter
Ever eaten nettles, or chickweed? Visit Nantyderry in Monmouthshire (not far from both Bristol and Birmingham airports) and gain hands-on experience in identifying and using some of Britain's edible wild plants with Raoul, the Foxhunter's man of the woods.
Food foragers will learn to identify wild foods while enjoying a leisurely walk through some of the local woodland and hedgerows. Once the hard work is done, return to the Foxhunter and rest your weary legs while their chefs serve-up dishes containing the finds of the morning.
